Why won't, will, or could "please" Oingo Boingo get back together?

You're in luck! Sort of! There's a tribute band that some of the original members of Oingo Boingo participate in, and they're playing a couple of gigs in Southern California this month: http://www.deadmansparty.com/show_dates.htm
As for Danny Elfman, it looks like he isn't going back on stage in a rock format. This, according to both Danny and his brother: "In early 2007, Danny Elfman said there would not be a reunion. He has irreversible hearing loss and is worried that playing live would exacerbate it. He stated that some members may also suffer from the condition."
My suggestion: Enjoy what they put out, enjoy Danny's scoring and classical efforts, enjoy the tribute band!
