I believe the way to fix your sync issue is to restore the iPod to its defaults. This means that you'll want to get everything off prior to doing this. Once its been "wiped" and restored to defaults, it should work.

M$Don't know about the sync thing, you should maybe play around with 1 single file to see what helps. In my iPod for instance, some individual MP3 songs did not sync (never saw them on the iPod). Finally it turned out that those songs had the "album" field left blank. Just entered a dummy album name and then they did sync. Strange, because some others without album name synced correctly.
Just try a lot of things until something works.
