Why were the DC Snipers called the DC Snipers?
Scary enough, I actually met Lee Boyd Malvo and John Allen Muhammad before they made their way across the states. They seemed to of resided in Bellingham, Washington for quite some time. I however never quite understood why they were called the DC Snipers, when they didn’t commit all their crimes in DC, at least not from what I understand, then again I didn’t watch the news frequently, I very well could of missed something. Was their ultimate destination Washing ton DC and that is how they got their title?

Indeed, most of their shootings were in the DC region, though not necessarily in Washington DC itself. There are many suburbs of DC in northern Virgina and in Maryland that were there favorite places to shoot people in. You can see a map of their shootings at http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/metro/daily/oct02/snipershootings.htm .
