You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — A 29-year-old woman has a court date next week to face charges stemming from her arrest Saturday, her other arrest Saturday, and her third arrest on Saturday. Police charged Leytza Martinez with assault after an altercation with a manager at the hair salon where she worked. She was arrested again later Saturday and charged with coming back to the salon and stealing more than $900 in supplies and some customer information.

Police also stopped her car Saturday on Madison Avenue and charged her with driving without insurance, and failure to have a front license plate.

She was released after posting an $11,000 bond and is due in court on Sept. 8. It's not clear if she has an attorney, and there was no listing for her in Bridgeport.

An employee of a local hair salon hit an unwelcome trifecta Saturday when she was arrested three times in one day, police said.

Leytza Martinez, 29, of Trumbull Avenue in Bridgeport, is scheduled to appear next Tuesday in Bridgeport Superior Court to answer charges that include third-degree assault, two counts of breach of peace in the second-degree and fourth-degree larceny. She is free on $11,000 bond.

Police said the suspect's problems began in the morning when her manager at the Mia & Maxx Hair Studio in the Westfield Trumbull mall questioned her about missing money. An altercation allegedly ensued in which the manager suffered scratches on her face, police said.

Martinez returned in the evening shortly before the salon closed, allegedly taking more than $900 worth of hair-care supplies as well as customer information, police said. But before police could arrest her on those charges, she was stopped on Madison Avenue for lacking a front license plate on her car and was charged with failure to have insurance as well, police said.
