Ok, as a football wiz i know almost everything with the right terms but to dumb it down some:
ok. Lawrence Taylor (a hall of fame linebacker) blitzed off the edge which is where the left tackle is (michael oher's position) currently (in the 80's) LT's dont have to take on the rushing linebacker...so as usual they block the big man blitzing up the middle (the guy Michael Oher "over blocked") now the LT position is so need to protect the BLINDSIDE of the quarterback. right handed quarterbacks are looking away with their back side turned...making michael Oher's position of the up-most importance.
