Why was a painting blurred out in the film "Lust for Life"?
TCM recently aired the 1956 film, "Lust for Life" (the dramatized story of Vincent van Gogh, played by Kirk Douglas). Just before van Gogh cuts off his ear, a mirror-reflected painting is blurred out. Does anyone know which painting it is, and why it was blurred? Was it done by TCM or is it part of the original film?
