I can say that if you feel God would be a good thing to believe in then.. that is the reason to believe in God.
I will also say that you can just believe that I believe until you have made up your mind.
If you are looking for an easier to say and believe in name for God....A lot of folks seem to have an easier time believing in something called your "Higher Power" and instead of giving this Higher Power a name and an attachment to a specific religion have had spiritual success by keeping things simple and following what makes sense to them at the very moment they are in.

M$a. They experienced or knew someone who experienced something terrible involving someone who is "religious",
b. They experienced suffering or tragedy in their life, or
c. They disagree morally with what most of the theists believe in.
There is evidence of God in the very nature around us and we are capable of coming to realize the existence of God through nature and our human reason. Socrates, for example, one of the greatest philosophers of all time, came to the belief in one God using human reason ALONE. He was not Jewish and he lived before the time of Jesus. He came to realize the existence of God through his reason.
Thomas Aquinas gives 5 awesome proofs for the existence of God in nature. I won't go through all of them but one is the concept of "the uncaused cause". I went into this in great detail in another post, but if you look at nature, everything is the effect of a cause. Where did everything start? Scientists will say the Big Bang. Well, what caused the Big Bang? And what caused the things that caused the Big Bang? Keep going back far enough and you realize that one of the following statements MUST be true:
a. Matter has existed for all of eternity and has been in motion for all of eternity, or
b. Back far enough, there is an "uncaused cause", something that started it all, something that exists in and of itself, something above matter that is not matter.
No scientist can come close to explaining where matter came from to begin with. Physics 101 will tell you that it is impossible to create or destroy matter. It can change forms but there is no way known to anybody how matter can be actually created or destroyed. So where did it come from? You try to explain how matter could have then existed for all eternity and you will have a harder time trying to wrap your head around that than I will have explaining belief in a higher being, an uncaused cause, something that exists within itself that was not created. Something had to start everything going.
Does this mean you "should" believe in God? Maybe and maybe not. What I am saying is that what you *should* do is use your human reason and think about things like this and read the works of the greatest philosophers of all time who have pondered these things for years.
Why should you believe in God? Because I think there is more evidence to support the existence of some higher being than there is of everything just being chance that everything exists as we know it today.

M$If you say to a family member "why should I believe in you"... you already have doubt and resentment against that person. When you say "i do believe in you"... the feeling is there, it's present and a peaceful mind.
There is no way to describe the feeling to someone who doesn't believe. To want to believe and to "should" believe are two separate issues. If someone truly wants to believe in God, they have to truly believe with blind faith, not find reasons to believe in him.
If someone truly feels they need a reason to believe...
By believing in God, what do you lose? Nothing
By believing in God, what do you gain? Everything

M$1. We see Him in nature. The beauty of nature and the variety of species causes us to look up at Him.
2.We have conscience which give guides us to understand and know what is right and wrong.
3. We have Jesus Christ who was more than a man, has a unique character, has undeniable and His death and resurrection showed us that He is God.
4. There are hundreds of fulfilled prophecies in the bible and Jesus Himself fulfilled over 300 of them.
5. Life will be devoid of meanings if there is no God. Human always strives for meaning and purpose and we all have a large void in our life which can only be filled by having a personal and living relationship with God.

M$Why does nature, determine a God? It may be beautiful and majestic and beyound our current knowledge. Why use God to explain it?
Does not our conscience make us social animals? Why does that prove God?
Jesus? How many have lost their lives because of him? Love?
Life has no meaning without God! Really?
Just wondering?
This phrase helps me to know that just because I do not understand it does not mean it was not of His will. "Nothing, absolutely nothing, happens in God’s world by mistake." from "acceptance was the answer" this is what I believe.
Even this question and these answers are not a mistake but a plan.
What is "spiritual success"? Having comfort in believing in a God that is all comforting? It's all for the good even when people suffer! Politicians have nothing on spin. Why do people stick with God or the Higher Power in spite of evidence to the contrary?
I respect you, however, give me some evidence where belief in God has helped the world. Or, better yet, it was God and not the good nature of people that improved a situation.
Spiritual success is achieved when we understand that we will not be able to understand why everything happens but accept that it all does as the will of this Higher Power.
As for suffering and other things that might be reasons to question ones faith remember to answer one prayer our Higher Power must forgo another..I pray for rain and you pray for sunshine.. one of us is suffering.
God is not all comforting it is in the belief that His plan for us is His plan and we cannot change it.... and that allows for peace and serenity and acceptance is the key.. we will not always be happy and comfortable.. we will not always be anything.
If you feel comfort you could feel as you have been rewarded or allowed respite before a long journey.. if you are feeling pain or sadness these are likely a way of teaching humility and giving you a sounding board to measure you happiness in the future.
Remember just because you feel this way right now does not mean you will feel this way later on. be patient and take more time to see and understand. This is how I see what I am to be feeling and learning from the world around me.
Everything is useful and helpful to someone.. a tragedy in one place is a lesson in another and a success in one place is a good example for another place.. history is full of good examples of what to do and bad examples showing us what not to do. These are all the plan of God and all that you see is by His plan and for you to learn from.
God works though people and that is the best I have got.
