Why is there a new release of Windows so quickly after Windows 7 was just released?

It's a rumor that it is. It's not for certain though.
But if you really think about it....
Windows Vista came out & about a year later Windows 7 came out. Don't be suprised if Windows 8 does too.
Thats how technology works though. They always have something new... But if you think about it...
This could be a great update. I haven't got Windows 7 because I plan on getting a new laptop for christmas but I hope windows 8 comes out...Soon.
