Why is Texas Hold Em the most popular form of poker?
When watching broadcasts of the World Poker Tour or the World Series of Poker, it seems that the poker version being played is Texas Hold Em. Even poker games among my friends use this version. Is there a reason that this version of poker seems to be the most popular version of poker played? Is it something about the play style of Texas Hold Em that makes it particularly appropriate for tournaments or for TV broadcasts? Are there major tournaments for other versions of poker besides Texas Hold Em?

Texas Hold Em is very exciting and that must attribute to the fact that people often choose Texas Hold em when choosing which poker game to play.
