why is it so bad to lift your chin when singing high notes? I mean can I still do it without any damage done?

Tip for best answer: M$0.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I am not sure about the "damage" you could do by having your chin in an improper position while singing high notes. However keeping your chin in the correct position, neither too high or too low, will allow the larynx to to stay to stay free and relaxed. If your chin is up, the muscles under the chin tense up.
