Why is Charlie Sheen's womanizing, hard partying character fine on screen but condemned off screen?

We all like the idea of life without consequences and that is what the "Two and a Half Men" lead character Charlie Harper lives. Mr. Harper lives a gluttonous and intoxicated life without any of the real life consequence that is always associated with this type of behavior. Fantasyland.. and who doesn't like that, love that, want that, and want to promote that?
The other Charlie, Mr. Sheen, has a real life that will have real consequences whether he sees that now or not. Eventually all roads lead to consequence and not just for him personally, there will be actual real deal consequences for his children, the members of his family, and even his social circles and that is why his lifestyle is condemned .. in real life.
Source - I have actually lived the life of the real Charlie and only spent slightly less money doing so. From this 18 years of experience in self destruction I can say for sure that if he does not use his "Tiger Blood" to focus on recovering from this run, bender, party, whatever he wants to call it that blood will eventually cease to flow regardless of "tiger" or not. Every action has consequences.

M$If he kept his hard party antics at home, none be the wiser, but no, he has to take it out in the public arena. That plummets his public persona which so much hinges on the success of his television show. There are other cast members, crew, writers who all depend on their livelihood on that series. His antics cost them their jobs.
That is why he is "condemned" as you put it. Because others depend on him and his wild habits in turn hurt the income of others. He's an addict. If he won't quit, then stay at home and party there until you drop. No one will care or hear or read about it.

Am I the only one who watched the videos on the Huff and saw Mr. Sheen looking like a hollowed out version of himself while asking for a raise? http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/02/28/charlie-sheen-on-today-de_n_828993.html
And... am I seeing things, or is Mr. sheen obviously high in both of those videos?!
Gosh he looks horrid and sounds like he's been smoking a crack pipe for days!
No one can hit him over the head and force him to clean up, I just hope he does it soon. His time is running out fast.
