why have tim burton movies gotten so horrible?
after the corpse bride, nightmare before christmas 2, and the recent remakes of charlie and the chocolate factory and alice in wonderland, i wonder how tim burton can still sleep at night. did he have a stroke or something? or did he just get a little bit too famous and abuse his rights to use CGI?

I don't think they have gotten horrible at all - Burton has been making awful movies all along. It is best to think of Tim Burton's cinematic triumphs as exceptions rather than the rule.
Compare Burton's Batman movies to Dark Knight - no question about it, both Batman and Batman Returns suck.
Tim Burton didn't direct Batman Forever but he had a hand in it as producer - and that is arguably the worst movie ever made.
Whenever I see Directed by Tim Burton, I know to stay away.
