Why has the reward for 2 of the tasks I submitted dropped from 3 to 1.5M$? And why has another task completely disappeared?

Did I miss something or is there a reason that reward has been reduced? I'm kinda confused about this.

And I was going to do a task about Steve Ballmers CES presentation and that task seems to be completely gone. Ballmers presentation ended like 6 hours ago, and the task is alreay removed? This seems a bit strange to me, but maybe there's a good explanation?
Tip for best answer: M$0.35
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Ive just started learning about tasks so someone correct me of I'm wrong.

You should still get the M$3 as long as your task(s) are accepted. I believe the M$1.5 is what the person reviewing your submission gets for reviewing it.

As far as the other task disappearing, it could be that someone has already taken the task.

The initial $3 is what you will earn if the task is approved by the QC team following your completion. The $1.50 is what the member of the QC team will earn by reviewing the task and approving/rejecting it.

As to the one that disappeared, someone may have claimed it or it expired.

Depends on who from the QC team QCs it. At times, especially during multiple Barnraisings, there may be a backlog so it could take a day or two. trust me, the wait does suck, i once had a task sitting in QC for close to a week.

Great! that explains a lot.
Any idea how long it usually takes for a task to be approved or rejected?
