The question is, does anyone want to watch? I don't think anyone except friends and family of the contestants does want to watch. Few viewers, thus little media coverage.

M$The fact is, news outlets and media are a business just like any other company; they want to make money. Unfortunately to them, a report on the Special Olympics doesn't reel in the viewers like 'SHOCKING NEW DETAILS IN THE CHRIS BROWN ASSAULT CASE!' Hell, look at the Mahalo Answers questions; how many of them are about stupid celebrity BS instead of stuff that matters? Too many.
It's not so much about a problem with the media as it is a problem with a culture so obsessed with inane, meaningless crap that it forces the media to feed their desires.
