why does the link Hacks from the home page of Mahalo give "Error 404 page not found"? http://www.mahalo.com/category/hacks

I was browsing around Mahalo's home page for fun and got a 404 error. This was shocking because Mahalo is the bomb! Does this happen often?

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Thanks for observing, I've added this to the bug list and we'll get it fixed.

It appears that the category has been removed or renamed. It does not appear as an option in the Categories of Page Management. The 404 error should have logged on the web server. Should be showing up in someones dashboard.

Selecting Hacks from the Mahalo homepage does not reflect a new name, just the 404. The subtopics still work. Perhaps some there is some category cleanup going on.

Actually I have no idea. Probably because Mahalo expects a SERP (search enginge result page) but it can't find the right page.

The best way to solve this is to send an email to contact@mahalo.com

It does happen sometimes. This is another example that gives a 404
