Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

Both of these lines came from the Google support page referenced below:
In Picasa 3, go to "Tools : Options" and click the "File Types" tab. Enable PNG, and close. Now you should see PNG files in any folder, if you weren't seeing them before.
Make sure that the folder that the png photo is in is marked "Scan Always" and that in Picasa that there is a "tick" next to View > Small Pictures. Naturally in Tools > Options > File Types you have png marked as a file to display.
