Why does orange juice taste bad after you brush your teeth with toothpaste? Can you make it taste good?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

The powerful mint flavor that most of us want from our toothpaste adds to the problem. While it doesn’t interfere with our tastebuds in the same way as the foaming agents, the mint flavor overpowers the taste of anything that is consumed afterwards.
The rule – and it makes sense for the health of your teeth too – is brush your teeth after meals, not before.
If you use a toothpaste without sodium lauryl sulphate (foaming agent), you won't have this problem.

I like Jason's toothpaste, which has won taste awards. J/a/s/o/n's even makes an orange-flavored toothpaste for kids and an orange spice one for adults, so if you really need to brush before drinking your orange juice, it won't clash so badly.
What kind of toothpaste comes without sodium lauryl sulphate (foaming agent)?
I use Toms of Maine toothpaste. It's an all-natural toothpaste without SLS or a lot of other chemicals found in traditional toothpastes.
