I'll assume for the sake of answering this question that your daughter is in the toddler age range. Pediatricians will tell you that most all children learn to masturbate very early. They simply find that touching themselves in a particular way feels good and they continue to do it. While working in daycare I (along with other teachers) witnessed young children "humping" (s you refer to it) on various objects, (stuffed pets, blankets, side of cot) during nap time. It is normal for the most part. However, if you child becomes overly obsessed with this behavior, speak with your pediatrician for advice.
