Why does lotus notes remind me of meetings five minutes in advance, then ask if I'd like to snooze for 10 minutes?

Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

By default Lotus Notes will ask remind you of meetings 5 minutes in advance as a reminder. Depending on what version of Lotus Notes you have: Go to your Calendar, If you have Lotus Notes 8.0 and lower go to TOOLS-PREFERENCES-CALENDAR&ToDo-ALARMS-Change or uncheck the Appointments/Meetings to how many minutes in advance you want to be notified or uncheck if you don't want to be notified at all. For Lotus Notes 8.5 users goto your Calendar-MORE-PREFERENCES-CALENDAR&ToDo-Alarms

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

The default alarm time can be set via your calendar preferences. You can set it to anything you wish. You can also specify a separate alarm time for each calendar entry if you want.

When the alarm sounds, the default will be 10 minutes, which you can also set to any value you want.
