Why does apple announce products on Tuesday?

I mean, what's the significance of that day of the week? Is this something they did even in the era when Steve Jobs was at NeXT or is this a "Steve" thing?
Tip for best answer: M$0.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Because of "Marathon Monday Meetings" of course!

The reason that Apple (and many other companies) announce products on Tuesday is that it is the easiest day for journalists/other attendees.

Obviously, Apple can't do it on the weekends, and Monday is out because then the weekend would have to be used to travel. Tuesday is ideal because the journalists/visitors can travel on Monday, be there on Tuesday, and fly/drive home on Wed.

If Apple did it on Wed, Thurs, or Fri, then the working days would be split. (Work, travel, work)

Tuesday just works better for everyone. Also, when Apple announces cool products, the stock market has three days to climb (or not :) )

Thanks for the question!

I partially heard this explanation of some podcast, I think it was TWiT. The rest was my logic.
