Why do you like football (soccer)?
I've only every watched one football game live and 2 or 3 games on tv, but couldn't get into the "swing of it". I'd be interested to know some reasons/feelings why this game is so exiting. Are there other women who'd like to know more about soccer, but find it difficult to understand the game and the excitement?

Any sport, especially the communities, has its appeal. However what makes a sport is something exciting is being involved in the competition in question, in following a specific team, in the knowledge of the players. The best in sports is boring for those not aware of the competition, the meaning of victory or defeat, the personal sympathy for the players involved.
Football soccer is not better than baseball or basketball or these better than the first. Everything depends on the level of involvement that you have in the competition.
When I lived in Cuba, several years ago, I loved baseball. Now I am living in Spain and I know each player of the Real Madrid and Barcelona Futbol Club and I now love soccer.
Some days ago, I started watching a satellite broadcast of a baseball game from Cuba. And did not know any player, all were of a new generation. I did not know which team was in the first place or the second, nothing. I got bored a lot and baseball was my passion and I still remember great cuban players of the eighties as if they were my own dear family.
So, get involved in a football soccer competition and you will discover what it's exciting.
