I believe that this is something that is more common than you think . you will also see the same thing with male models on fitness mags. you even see some male athletes who shave arms an legs. that is easily understandable. if you have to tape up for wrist ,arm or leg support you dont want it sticking to your hair. did you ever see a tarzan with a hairy chest. ? LOL yea, it's mainly for the image issues. They are out there for the world to see, and they gotta make sure that they look good.
