Why do the conductors on Deutsche Bahn say "Goodbye" at the end of their English announcements? Don't they know how agressive that sounds?

I see no arrogance not even you once you understood the meaning of goodbye .
Goodbye originated from the word " god be with you " . and its very good if some on says goodbye . yes its considered little arrogant when some one says goodbye as its used to say frequently noting partition now a days .
In germany Goodbye's equivalent word is "auf Wiedersehen" which is used to express farewell . and etymology is "auf, until + Wiedersehen, seeing again"
