Why do some religious groups not like Harry Potter?
Why is it that some religious groups are against the Harry Potter movies and books? Is there an anti-religious message that I'm missing?

It's mostly the "witchcraft" (magic) the books are based on, which is fairly contradictory to the messages of churches like the Catholic church.
It's important to know that Christians spent a good chunk of the middle ages trying to do away with witchcraft and killing witches. The fact that an author is bringing it back in the form of a popular children's book isn't exactly great news for the Church.
