Why do some questions when I click on them take me to an external website? Conundrumland?

What the heck is this? I click on a question and rather than seeing the Mahalo Answers page I expect to, in order to read the existing answers and offer my own, I'm taken to what appears to be another Q&A site, that forces me to enter a zipcode before I do anything?

Is this spam? Stealth Marketing? What the hey?

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

The questions come from Conundrum Land and those show up here because for the time being they are connected. Mahalo is helping Conundrum land get off the ground.
Conundrum land is more of an opinion site where Mahalo deals in supported answers.

use Mahalo and conundrum land

I completely agree it asked me for my age once and now it wants my zipcode, really a major annoyance, in fact it is the single most annoying thing about mahalo for me. I really wish that if they want to use the mahalo resource the questions come up in an unobtrusive way in a mahalo format, I think they are trying to sell me wine or something I can't quite figure it out either but I hate being sold something when I am trying to help someone with there question. Probably best to just avoid the conundrum questions altogether I guess. sometimes I answer the interesting ones but I am starting to really get annoyed that there is a hurdle to cross when answering a question.

Yes, but I'm clicking a question on Mahalo. I should be able to answer it on Mahalo without going to an external website. And I certainly shouldn't be asked for my zipcode when I go to answer a question. It's just an annoyance, is all.
