You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Usually, a person would go on a killing spree because of the following reasons:

- Bullying
This occurs a lot from teenage/student killing sprees. Often, a person may endure a lot of uncomfortable experiences from fellow students and want revenge and are living in anger.

- Drugs
Of course, you must know the terrible effects of drugs. They can mess with people's minds. When they may get hold of such weapons as these people do, they may carry out a killing spree.

- Video Game Influence
Now many of you may have heard of the boy who killed his friend after being influenced by the game "Manhunt" - often these games provoke children/teenagers and even adults to go out and do such things.

Some people just snap. There is no why to this question. In each case there were issues with the person who went on the killing spree. The only way they could deal with it in their minds was to "kill" the problem.

I don't think so....I mean compare the number of Japanese playing violent video games and the number of American playing violent video games...You will see that even though Japanese play violent video games much more than Americans do, their crime rate due to violent video games is less important than that of the Americans. It's a whole other problem and I'd say it has to do with culture.
