Why do kids love teddy bears over other stuffed toys?

Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

My kids (nor I when I was a kid) have no fondness for teddy bears. Last on the list when compared to kittens, puppy, dog, wolf, fish, frog, and zebra.

Sometimes I think the preferences are influenced by the parents. Even a non-speaking child will go to the object that gets the best positive reinforcement from a parent.

Their cute, cozy, they always have a heartwarming smile on their faces and children can easily hug them due to them as they always seem to do

I think it is because teddy bears are the classic stuffed animal for kids. I got my teddy bear when I was a baby (there is a picture of us when we were the same size). Now, I love that teddy bear because I have had it for so long. Also, companies make lots of teddy bears so there is a large variety so everyone can find one to suit their personality.

I never had a teddy bear when I was a kid. I had a Buster Bunny doll though. I guess it is kind of the same thing.
