Why do i not unlock xbox achievements even after i have met the requirements
my question is what can be done to fix the bug. should i delete the game and redownload it? the same thing happened in rainbow six vegas after beating it on realistc, it did not give me the achievement. the problem is very rare but it exists noetheless.
so any solutions would be much appreciated

FYI: The Realistic Difficulty glitch on Rainbow Six Vegas has been updated, so when you log into the game your achievement should pop up. This is a fine example of a glitched achievement that requires an update to achieve. Another example of this is Ghostbusters, there are two reported glitches on this game.
Another suggestion is using a guide. I use www.xbox360achievements.org as my place for any achievement problems. Sometimes an achievement needs a certain thing done, that wasnt described clearly in the achievement description. I would use this site to check to see, what it is exactly you need to do.

1. The game sometime has an internal defect causing this problem
2. The xbox live system itself sometime has an internal defect causing this.
For the game defect, you can return the game siting possible defect and for the exbox live system there really is not much you can do about it. But by doing process of elimination, you can possibly find out the cause.
