Hulu only works in the United States, because the content providers, in this case NBC, have deals with affiliate stations in Australia.
They make more money from those deals than they get from Hulu.
This is decided by NBC, Hulu can only do what the content providers tell them to.
Old-media(NBC) has a hard time adjusting to new-media(Hulu) and has a hard time to understand that the internet is international.
