why do baloons symbolize birthdays?

Tip for best answer: M$1.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I think that it is more that baloons have come to symbolize parties and celebrations more than any other reason. Balloons are one of the most common party decorations. Since birthdays are traditionally a celebration of the anniversary of a person's birth, balloons would be a natural symbol for this particular celebration.

hope this helps
