Why do all the recipes I'm finding say to bottle in a plastic container? Wouldn't glass work as well?

If you are making Kahlua, I would recommend using an old Kahlua bottle, just so you have the labeling and you know what was in it before. Labeling is important in homemade products.
I suppose that many recipes have plastic bottles listed these day because they are so abundantly available. You are perhaps aware that they have found that certain types of plastics do have chemicals that leach from the container walls (I have included a reference below). For that reason, especially with alcohol based drinks (because they are organic chemicals like the plastics), I believe that glass containers should be recommended.
