why did viacom take stewart off hulu?

Money. The Daily Show and The Colbert Report were 2 of the most watched shows on Hulu, Viacom saw this and likely wanted more money from Hulu to stream their content. Viacom has also said they will go after other who blog unauthorized clips of The Daily Show or Colbert Report.
