Why did Jason Calacanis pull out of the Mesh Conference at the last minute?
Hearing his keynote wasn't the only reason that I am attending, but hearing him talk about Mahalo was one of the things that I was looking forward to.
Why did he pull out?

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

M$It would be advisable to ask him through his Mahalo page (http://www.mahalo.com/member/jasoncalacanis) or his Twitter page (http://twitter.com/jasoncalacanis).

Yup, Mesh really is interesting. Hopefully Tyler will report back that it's worth a trip into snowy tundra for a couple of days.
To a seasoned pannelist however, I'm sure that you have been asked many of the same questions and have had many of the same conversations that occurred at the conference.
I'm (personally) sorry to hear that you wouldn't be attending this year. But I sure understand last minute business surges and hope that the business issues that have sprung up aren't too serious. I was hoping to ask you a couple of questions, but there really isn't any reason I can't ask them here and leverage the answers of the community as a whole.
The two presenters who filled in for you were VC guys. They were about as cut-and-dry as the capital game itself. I heard a few folks comment (with no help from me) that they were disappointed to see that you weren't on the bill today.
