Why can't I choose the best answer to my own question?
I just attempted to select the best answer to my question (located here: http://www.mahalo.com/answers/lotions-and-creams/how-do-you-get-rid-of-blackheads ) but it seemed to not work. It also says that my vote is only 33% of the vote - but I thought the questioner is supposed to have a 100% standing?
Regardless of your belt level, I think that the person who asked the question should have the final say in which answer helped them best
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

When the question expires as best answer, it becomes an unanswered question, therefore anyone can vote on the best answer. The votes are presented by showing the percentage of people that thought any given answer was the best answer. So, 33% of the people who have voted thought your answer was best.
The reason you are not able to select your own answer as best after the question has expired is kinda odd. I know that on unanswered questions by other people, you are prevented from choosing your question as the best answer there. I know that is by design, so people won't just always select their answer as best for unanswered questions.
Apparently this dynamic is also for your own unanswered questions. Definitely send an e-mail to feedback@mahalo.com to ask them about this.
If something above does not make sense in how I've explained things, please let me know. Thanks
