Why can my Mac not remember its Wifi Settings?
Everytime I log on to my Mac (Intel iMac), it has forgotten which WiFi network to connect to. The WiFi "radar" in the menu is greyed out and I have to manually select the network I wish to join.
Why does it do this and why does it not remember what I have previously selected.
M$1 if you can help me make it remember the WiFi network to join.
I'm running Tiger 10.4.11

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

In the Network System Preference pane, select your AirPort connection. Click the Advanced button. In the AirPort tab, make sure that your network is in the Preferred networks box, and that 'Remember any network this computer has joined' is checked.

I don't have an Advanced button on the Network System Preferences Pane? Is this on a different screen?
Is there one in the lower right corner?
Excellent. Thanks for the link - that's sorted the problem.
I think the fix was deleting the WiFi Network and then re-adding it.
It is from Leopard, I apologize, as I had thought that the Network preference pane had remained the same.
This link is for an older version of Tiger, but just check and see if your wifi settings are properly set.

No, unfortunately not. I'm using Tiger. Is that a screen shot from Leopard?
