Why aren't pages managed by inactive users being recirculated into the system?

I've noticed on many pages on Mahalo that they are still under management of the same person who in many cases made no changes since they claimed them over a month ago. After 10 days an email is sent to them and after 15 days the page should be recirculated back into the system (as is said here: http://www.mahalo.com/how-mahalo-works). An example of one of these pages is http://www.mahalo.com/fallout-3. This system started on July 1, more than 15 days ago.

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I would suggest emailing mahalo management and asking them. Some items do not need to be updated on a 10-day basis... Im not a video game guy, but imagine the page for fallout-1. Do you think that page needs to be updated every 10 days? Probably not...

I have a similar issue that I just emailed management about. The site in question has not been updated since the day it was created, which was June 3rd, nearly a month and a half ago.

I think what management needs to do is place a button on the page that shows up after 15 days of not being updated. That button would say "Would you like to manage this page?" If you click on it, it will automatically start a process that would email the current manager and start the 5 day clock. After the 5 days, it defaults to the person who started that clock, with an email sent to that person saying "Congrats on your new page!"

I don't think it is NECESSARY to update every page every 10 days, but you should at least have the system in place where if someone wants to take it over, they can start the ball rolling without having to email management.

Just my opinion...

I have a few issues with the way Page Management if being administered.

First of all, there are a few users here who have more than 100 pages. I busted my ass to get to my next belt so I could up the number of pages I was managing, now with the new system, mny requests go answered.

Equally, sending e-mails to feedback@mahalo.com go equally UNANSWERED. I have a page that gets LOADS of hits, but the ADS do NOT display. Ive asked about 4 questions on this and e-mailed at least once.

I NEVER got a response.

Now, a month ago, i could have released it and just started another out of frustration, however now, if I release it, i'm still no further ahead.

So what's my motivation to update my pages if I can't release low Hit pages for better ones?

This new Page managing system bites.

Is there a management team? Who monitors the Feedback? What are the known bugs? What are the fixed bugs?

This sold as a Community site but I find the Community is kept in the dark in many areas.

You could try sending a direct message to someone on staff like Lon. The page increase request should work. Maybe they have a lot of requests so it is taking a long time. Sending emails in my experience does not work as far as getting a response.

I agree, if users are inactive (they don't log in) for say 3 or 4 weeks, their pages should be released, or they should at least be sent a warning that if they do not become active, they will lose their pages.

I have wanted to claim a few pages in the past which were already claimed and when I checked the manager, it would show they have not been active for a long time.
