Why are so many people mad that Michael Vick is now playing for the Philadelphia Eagles?

My guess is that people may still harbor bad feelings toward his illegal dog fighting arrest. Many people were disgusted to find out he would do such a thing.
I am an animal lover and was very angry. I typically let things go and try not to harbor ill feelings. I understand Michael Vick is a great quarter back. The Eagles are lucky to have him (as a player.) He is a great football player.
