Mosquitoes also love Limburger cheese. Interestingly enough, the main ingredient in the cheese is a bacterium that can be found on the human foot. In field studies, socks alone attracted very few mosquitoes. However, a significant increase occurred to CO2-baited traps when combined with a worn sock for most mosquitoes, including species of Aedes, Anopheles, Coquillettidia, Culex, Culiseta, and Psorophora—major disease-transmitting mosquitoes. One other thing: they prefer your hands to your feet. Check out the link, it's very informative.
I hope I helped; have a great day!!!
P.S.--You might want to wear socks more often : )

Nobody mentioned the blood vessels because if you can see them they are actually too big for a mosquito. Mosquito's actually tap into capillaries. Which are too small to see with the naked eye. If Mosquito's were attracted to the extremely vascular areas they would bite your face and hands more than the rest of you.
Also I'd like to point out that you basically just provided more detail to my answer. Which is "Mosquitoes are attracted by smell." The fact that they bite his/her feet more often is simply because they find them more easily. He/She probably sits with his feet uncovered and propped up in the air making the smell from the more easily detected.
My answer is very different than yours. You had your chance to put down adequate information and failed to do so. You also lack a source, which I have.
By the way, thanks for addressing the second commenter's question. As of right now, I can only address people as commenters #2 and #3.
Some mosquitoes are also attracted to certain scents more than others. The primary mosquito vector for malaria in Africa is very attracted to the feet and lower ankles. But keep in mind that other species might not like these areas as much as some others.
OK, but how come no one mentioned those lovely little blood vessels that sit so near the surface on the top of your feet and ankles?
