Why are big people relegated to "big people" shows? They can't dance and date with skinny people?

I think that there is a group of skinny people that are trying to sell the idea that, big people belong with big people. I have to say that, I know many big people that have a skinny husband or boyfriend. They dance together, have fun together and are happy.
