Are you really sure Americans are so liberated about sex? My view of Americans is that they are pretty much in limbo about the whole situation. On one hand, there is a large (Christian) movement promoting no-sex before marriage, that is enraged when Janet Jackson shows a nipple on TV, and that spells the s-word as soon as a minor is within hearing range, hoping they won’t know what they are talking about. Same-sex marriage or gay people are hardly recognized.
On the other hand, America has the biggest porn- and sex-industry in the world, both in people involved and in revenue.

My idea from this is that Americans are very much in conflict with themselves on finding a proper way to deal with sex, and they are not that liberated at all.

In contrast, I live in The Netherlands, and I find our nation a lot more liberated towards sex than Americans. We have legalized prostitution, sex education at schools, a high acceptance level of gay sex and marriage, and many private clubs where any-and-all sexual activities are possible (including partner-swapping etc).

So, could you please elaborate what got you the idea that Americans are so very liberated about sex?

I live in the netherlands for many years, I find dutch people are conservative although you can easily get sex for money any where in holland. true almost all vices are allowed. and i thinks american are the same conservative but you can get laid anywhere also as long as you can pay for it. I say the whole world is the same there is no such thing as an exclusive liberated sex in terms of specific country . we are all human being , we have same feeling about sex no matter from what country you came from so there are not worst than other. it is sex so we are all same.
