Who would you want to play Captain 'Sully' Sullenberger if they made a movie deal?

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

M$But I also have another choice that I think would do as good or better a job with playing the role of Captain Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger in a movie about US Airways Flight 1549 and the "Miracle on the Hudson."
..Sean Connery
Sean Connery has the look, the box office draw, and the acting chops to really put some real true grit into the Sully character and despite his Scottish accent I feel America would embrace Connery as Sully Sullenberger the hero of US Airways Flight 1549. Really we can't lose either way.

M$An interesting and quite helpful in the handsome department choice BunnyPhu. I mean all respect due to Capt. Sully but with an upcoming trip to the big screen Sully sure could use a Hollywood upgrade in the handsome department. : p

Looks like this will be for the big screen, big shot Frank Marshall has been tapped to produce the story of Sully Sullenberger the Hero of the Hudson movie which is an adaption of the Sullenberger memoir "Highest Duty: My Search for What Really Matters"

I think that one of the reasons Ford is getting the early buzz is he has worked with Marshall before in the films Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Both Harrison and Sean would be great... but I just finished watching Mad Men and John Salttery who plays Roger Sterling, Jr. would be great too. He would make Sully quite dashing if you ask me!
Great pic! I think Connery fans would love to see him in another movie. (Hopefully this isn't a made-for-tv project.)

M$I do agree with you... he's great. I guess I've just been associating him lately with Tim Burton. If they worked together on it, it would turn out to have a dark side, some really cool costumes, and at least one dream sequence. ;)

George Clooney is another good choice. Great call
