Who would win a fight between the X-Men and Fantastic Four? Provide a narrative of the show down.
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

*Taking liberties with the Dark Phoenix story line, and playing with the X-Men line up a bit to prevent a one sided fight.
"Unreal . . . " Johnny muttered under his breath, "Jean did all this? My Jean?" The Fantastic Four gazed over the charred ruins of Charles Xavier's school.
"Yes, her telepathic power and telekinetic abilities are beyond anything we have ever seen. Spread out and look for survivors." Reed motioned to the others then back at Johnny. "Johnny, what do you mean by my Jean?"
"You know, my girl Jean. She is important to me." Johnny felt at odds with the words coming out of his mouth. "I've only met her once! Why am . . . I saying . . .S-She's better than you Reed, she is better than all of us. The Phoenix is amazing." Johnny felt the comforting warmth of the flame sliding through his body and with it his momentary panic subdued.
"Johnny, listen to me, something is not right. Stand down. We shouldn't stay here."
"You're just gonna cut and run, Bub? You come too late and you are just gonna leave. Let the survivors rot? Am I right?" The man pulled himself out of the rubble.

Great. I look forward to reading your narrative.
I think I can manage that, this will give me some fun writing for tomorrow's lunchbreak. :D
"You're just gonna cut and run, Bub? You come too late and you are just gonna leave. Let the survivors rot? Am I right?" The man pulled himself out of the rubble. . . .
As he spoke two large figures circled behind him Thing and Colossus. Wolverine watched them from the corner of his eye. "Go ahead and take a shot Ben, but you better make damn sure I don't get back up."
Reed shook his head, "No Wolverine no one is going to attack anyone here, we are going to . . ."
There was a sickening thud, in a single motion Thing grabbed a fallen light post and with a baseball swing he slammed it into the side of Wolverine's head sending the shorter man flying into the air with a spray of blood. Wolverine slammed through a small tree and several branches punctured his skin. Ben gave a lopsided grin, "Should I have said batter up?"
"BEN! What have you done?!" Reed could feel rage welling up within him. He visualized ripping his friend limb from limb. Reed took a deep breath and the image vanished from his mind. "This place is effecting us, Phoenix is using her power to manipulate us. We need to go . . . NOW! Susan . . ." He turned to look for his wife but he did not see her.
Colossus walked toward Thing, "I believe your line is, 'It's clobbering time' . . . this is your chance. Say it." The metallic man's voice shook with rage as his fists tightened.
The sky darkened as black clouds rolled in.
Ben gave a humorless chuckle, "Sure, sure anything for you buddy. . . It's clobbering time!"
(I only have small chunks of time to work on this, More tomorrow or Thursday.)
You must add, "Its clobbering time!" Smash and destroying "Thing" is essential to the battle.
