Katherine Hepburn won the most Oscars from 1933 to 181 as Best Actress in a Lead role which spans almost 50 years. She is not only the actor with the most Oscars but she also commands presence on screen and her performances are worth watching.
These are the Academy Awards that she received:
*Best Actress : Morning Glory in her roles as Eva Lovelace
*Best Actress: Guess Who's Coming to Dinner in her role as Christina Drayton
*Best Actress: The Lion in Winter with her role as Queen Eleanor of Aquitaine. She tied up with Barbra Streisand for the latter's role of Fanny Brice in " Funny Girl."
*Best Actress: On Golden Pond for her roles as Ethel Thayer
For leading and supporting men, and Walter Brennan both have three awards. Brenna won three awards for Best Supporting Actor and Nicholson won two for Best Actor and one for supporting actor.
