Who will win the match-up between Dan Henderson and Jake Shields at the Strikeforce World Middleweight Championship?

These two MMA fighters have completely different styles and are going head-to-head tomorrow at the Strikeforce World Middleweight Championship. Who do you think has the advantage? Do you think Henderson will be able to stay off the ground and keep the match on foot? Or will Shields take him down right away and make the fight his own? What do you think these fighters should consider before entering the ring? Should they focus on their technical attacks? Or should they just go for it and put the passion into the fight? Do you think one of them has a slight advantage due to their typical strategies and past statistics? Which one? Who would you like to see take it down?

Wow, I can answer this one since the fight is now over. Going into this Mixed Martial Arts fight Dan Henderson was favored to defeat Jake Shields. Henderson was returning from a layoff but feels working out in the gym has him can in shape. Henderson can win if he punnels Shields into submission or lands enough blows to out-point Shields. Shields can win if her perservers and wears down Henderson.

Below is information about this fight and the victor, Jake Shields and the aftermath with a confrontation with the Jason Miller camp, as reported by Brian Knapp.

“NASHVILLE -- Strikeforce middleweight champion Jake Shields weathered the storm against two-time Olympian Dan Henderson, only to have the afterglow of his victory stolen by an ugly postfight confrontation between his camp and Jason "Mayhem" Miller.
Shields kept his stranglehold on the Strikeforce crown, as he defeated Henderson by unanimous decision in the Strikeforce "Nashville" headliner on Saturday at the Bridgestone Arena. Scores were 49-46, 49-45 and 48-45 for Shields, who has won 14 consecutive fights.
Afterward, Miller entered the cage and interrupted Shields' postfight interview, resulting in a melee that featured Strikeforce welterweight champion Nick Diaz and his brother, UFC welterweight Nate Diaz. The near-riot forced CBS to cut to a commercial. It was an embarrassing scene for Strikeforce and may not bode well for the promotion's future on the network.
Victory did not come easy for Shields. Henderson dropped him with his patented right hand in the first round and followed up with punches on the ground that nearly ended it. Shields worked a leg lock, however, and recovered, only to be met with a brutal right uppercut as he tried to regain his footing. It highlighted a lopsided first round for the challenger.
Shields turned the tide in the second, as he took down Henderson, mounted him and threatened to finish him from the top. The rest of the fight followed a similar tune, Henderson unable to stop takedowns and Shields outclassing the challenger on the ground. Shields closed strong, as he mounted Henderson three times in the fifth round and threatened him with an arm-triangle choke and a kneebar. “
