Who Will Take Over For Steve Jobs Once Needed?

Tip for best answer: M$2.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Scott Forstall. He's in charge of iPhone software right now, which is a big deal. He also led a successful Leopard roll out. He's young which means he'll have plenty of time to establish him self as new iconic Apple CEO.

Extra bonus: When he delivers product demos at Apple events, he comes off as mysterious, slightly creepy and extremely intense. I think he's a crazy enough and enough of a different thinker to keep Apple on the right track for decades to come, even when the Jobs legacy becomes a distant memory.

I had the chance to speak with Jonathan Ive once. I got the feeling it's going to be him since a creative person like Steve makes sense.

My pick is Timothy Cook, current Chief Operating Officer. When it comes to Apple's market operations, this guy knows what's up. Also, he's single, so he has a lot of time to focus on one of the most influential corporations of our time.

Any more, Steve Jobs is a figure head. Apple might as well, and my very well come up with an animated mascot, such as Geico's gecko to replace him. Apple's fired him before, and they didn't really replace him then.

I think that to keep the shareholders happy, they will go for someone with a proven track record at a similar level to Steve Jobs. Someone who has shown themselves to be a powerful public orator, and who has taken products of the future from the drawing board to market. I think the only sensible choice has to be Steve Balmer.

Gizmodo predicts that Chief Operating Officer Tim Cook will become CEO after Steve Job's retirement. This is due to the many similarities he shares with Steve Jobs, including being the only top exec that's also on the board of another company. He's also currently the highest paid man at Apple.
