Who will sing God Bless America at the Super Bowl?

Tip for best answer: M$0.25

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Carrie Underwood will be singing the National Anthem and Queen Latifah will sing America the Beautiful

I often wondered that myself. Maybe they were going for a patriotic song. But then I think they would sing the national anthem for that. While it's tradition, I know many people get worked up over it because of the "God" part. As a pagan, I don't really care one way or another. It's not like we're singing straight from the southern baptist hymnal. It's a song about blessing our country. And since football is so big here it's practically a national holiday, sing it there. It gives a solemn moment of appreciation to thousands of fans about the country they live in.

If I had my choice, I would have picked "Are you ready for some football" as the song. But I am sure not everyone can sing that and make it sound good. LOL And then at the end of the game play "Another one bites the dust"

Sorry, I think you misread the question. It was asking who is singing it at the superbowl... not which song, or why that song was chosen.
Just an FYI :)
