Who will be this year's breakout Running Back?
Every year in the NFL, a new running back emerges as a star for their team. In the last few years we've seen dominant performances from a number of young backs. Some were expected to be great, like Adrian Peterson, others entered the NFL with lower expectations, like Matt Forte, Ray Rice, and Chris Johnson.
So who's going to emerge this year as a star on their team, and as a surprise of fantasy football owners everywhere. Find a rookie who's going to beat out the veterans on their team, or name me a backup who's ready to carry the ball full time.

Of all the running backs that might be able to have truly special seasons, I think Jahvid Best of the Detroit Lions has the best chance to truly set the NFL on fire. The Lions had to lean heavily on Matthew Stafford last year mainly because they did not have a starting running back caliber player on their team and because of that Stafford threw 20 interceptions.
Now the Lions can turn to Jahvid Best, who I think will take the starting job away from Kevin Smith in training camp, and he could compile a season in which he rushes for well over 1,000 yards. He has breakaway speed, and the Lions have dedicated themselves to being better on the offensive line. I think a better defense, led by rookie defensive lineman Suh, will help the offense improve and by extension, Best will be able to perform better. It helps that I don’t think there are that many running backs out there that haven’t already broken out that will hold starting jobs.
