The Lions have taken steps to take the next step and actually become a team that is not an automatic win for their opponents. If the team can establish some sort of a running game, either with a resurgence of Kevin Smith or the break out of Jahvid Best, that will take some of the pressure off of Stafford and he could put up some really impressive numbers. Few Lions fans will forget when an injured Stafford led his team back to a victory against the Cleveland Browns he showed a tenacity and fight that are in winning quarterbacks and I think as long as his supporting cast can step up, he could have a Matt Ryan type season.
