Who will be the starting running back for the Detroit Lions by the end of the season?

OK here is the deal. I am a season ticket holder to the Detroit Lions. I like hitting the Casinos and the tailgating before games as well as meeting a lot of great people. I have watched Kevin Smith for two years and have an opinion similar to most of the fans. Even before getting injured he lacked the skill sets of a great running back. He would be a very good third down back or backup, but certainly not a starter on a good team. He does not run with power, has no burst and lacks both quickness and breakaway speed. He goes down very easily with arm tackles and does not make the first man miss. He is late getting to the hole and then does not have the explosive burst to get through it before it closes. Last year in Detroit the line opened up holes big enough to drive a truck through and he wasn't there. Drafting Jahvid Best was a good move on the part of the Lions. He was rated the second best running back in the draft and is supposed to possess breakaway speed. That alone is an upgrade at the position. I also hear he is brought down by arm tackles which tells me he lack any power. Hopefully he makes up for that with quickness and good running skills. If he has the burst to get through the hole, I will be happy. In my book, he will be starting. If not then he is already a bust.
