The Maya were one of the greatest civilizations in the western hemisphere, they were however subdivided into many groups such as Tzotzil, Quichean, Palenque and Yucatec.
There is actually a list of Palenque rulers in about.com’s archaeology section:
• U-K'ix-Chan (Snake Spine or O Pop) 967 BC
• Ch'a Ruler I (Caspar) 252 BC
• K'uk' Bahlam (Quetzal Jaguar) AD 431-435
• Ch'a Ruler (II) (Caspar II) 435-487
• Butz'aj Sak Chihk (Manik) 487-501
• Ahkal Mo' Nahb I (Lord Chaac or Chaacal I) 501-529
• K'an Joy Chitam (K'an Xul I), 529-565
• Ahkal Mo' Nahb II (chaacal II, Akul Ah Nab II) 565-570
• Kan Bahlam (Chan Bahlum I, Kan-Balam I) 572-583
• Ix Yohl Ik'nal (Lady Kan, Lady Kanal Ikal) 583-604
• Ajen Yohl Mat (Aahc-Kan, Ac-Kan, Ah K'an) 605-612
• Janab Pakal (Pacal I) 612-612
• Muwaan Mat (Lady Beastie) 612-615
• K'inich Janab Pakal (Lord Shield, Pacal, Pakal) 615-683
• K'inich Kan Bahlam (Snake jaguar, Chan Bahlum), 684-702
• K'inich K'an Joy Chitam (Lord Hok, K'an Xul, K'an Xul II), 702-722
• K'inich Ahkal Mo' Nahb (Chaacal III, Ah Kul Ah Nab III), 722-?
• Upakal K'inich Janab Pakal ?-?
• K'inich Kan Bahlam II ?-?
• K'inich K'uk' Bahlam (Lord K'uk', Bahlum K'uk') 764-?
There is unfortunately little information regarding the names of other Maya rulers, it’s most believed that they were members of the priest class. Mayan glyphs carved into stone do however give remarkable accounts of life in the society from agriculture to textiles.

Great research
Will you provide a book list for each of the Mayan kings?
Will you find Mayan research by David Staurt for each of the Kings that shows their lineage and wars?
Thanks for the additional research info. I need to order this book.
Need a little bit more research.
This is just a one a small part of all the Mayan Kings that ever existed. We must clarify that the Maya culture was subdivided in many city states, all with its own dynasties of Mayan kings, on different ages, not always rising to power at the same time or period as their neighboring competitive Mayan city capitals.
It is also not true that there is little information on Mayan kings. Three is a lot of it, and not always the source is a Mayan glyph, there are also Mayan Stelas, monolithic stones where the history of the culture is often found at many archeological sites throughout Mesoamerica. We can also found information about ruling kings on temple wall inscriptions or in some sarcophagi.
To illustrate the point, there is a book wrote by Simon Martin and Nikolai Grube called "Chronicle of the Maya Kings and Queen" about the biographical accounts of 152 kings and four ruling queens; all the data on their lineage, spouses and children, places of burial; and timelines. (at Amazon.com: http://www.royalty.nu/America/Maya.html )
Here is also the list of the rulers from another city state, Copán:
* K'inich Yax K'uk Mo' or Mah K'ina Yax K'uk Mo', Blue Quetzal Macaw or Sun-eyed Green Quetzal Macaw) ca AD 426-436
* Mat Head, ca 445-485
* Cu Ix, ca 485-495
* Moon Jaguar 553-578
* Butz' Chan 578-628
* Smoke Imix God K 628-695
* 18 Rabbit (Waxaklahun Uban K'awil) 685-738
* Smoke Monkey 738-749
* Smoke Shell or Smoke Squirrel 749-763
* Yax Pasah 763-820
